Pelatihan dan Pendampingan Bahasa Inggris pada Kelompok Pelatih dan Pemain Kolintang di Desa Lembean Kecamatan Kauditan Kabupaten Minahasa Utara

Abstract

English has been studied as a foreign language from elementary school to higher education, so it is expected that students master locally charged English after graduation and continue to a higher level of education. However, in addition to the problem of equitable distribution of the quality of teaching that is accessible to all levels of society, the quality of locally charged English that students have is still not reliable. Training for students on good English skills has not been optimal. Therefore, PKM English Language Training and Assistance was held for the Kolintang Coaches and Players Group in Lembean Village, Kauditan District, North Minahasa Regency. With this training and assistance, it is hoped that trainees can have knowledge and skills in speaking about the Kolintang Minahasa oral tradition using English. The method used for this service is in the form of English training and assistance with the theme of Kolintang Minahasa oral tradition. Both the coaching team and the training and assistance target group can identify the problem together, and the coaching team can provide appropriate guidance for the target group to implement. It is hoped that this devotion can provide the expected output in the form of journals.
